Intervertebral discs

Intervertebral discs are fibrocartilaginous cushions located between adjacent vertebral bodies, providing spinal flexibility and shock absorption. Clinically, they are crucial for maintaining spinal stability and mobility. Degeneration or herniation of these discs can compress spinal nerves, causing pain, radiculopathy, or neurological deficits.
