Forearm chronic exertional compartment syndrome (CECS) is a condition characterised by increased pressure within the forearm muscle compartments during repetitive activity, leading to pain, swelling, and impaired muscle function. It is important clinically as it can cause exercise-induced forearm pain and weakness, often affecting athletes or workers performing repetitive gripping tasks. If untreated, CECS may result in muscle ischemia and nerve damage, potentially causing chronic disability.
