Limb space refers to the anatomical compartments within an arm or leg, bounded by fascial layers that contain muscles, nerves, and blood vessels. Understanding limb spaces is crucial in clinical practice for diagnosing and managing compartment syndrome, where increased pressure within these spaces impairs circulation and tissue viability. Failure to recognise and promptly treat compartment syndrome can lead to permanent nerve damage, muscle necrosis, or limb loss.
