Urinary System

The urinary system is responsible for excretion of waste products, regulation of body water and salt, maintenance of acid balance, and secretion of a variety of substances. Nephrons are the functional units of kidneys that ultimately form urine. Fresh urine has historically been used as an antiseptic due to is acidic property.
