Vascularized describes tissue or an organ that has an established network of blood vessels supplying oxygen and nutrients. This is crucial for healing, graft survival, and the function of transplanted or regenerating tissues. Poor vascularization can lead to tissue ischemia and necrosis, complicating wound repair or graft integration.
