Leukocyte adhesion deficiency is a rare inherited immunodeficiency caused by defects in leukocyte surface integrins, impairing white blood cell adhesion and migration to infection sites. Clinically, it leads to recurrent bacterial infections and impaired wound healing due to defective neutrophil extravasation. A key complication is severe, life-threatening infections despite high neutrophil counts.
