A bibasic T wave is an electrocardiographic finding characterised by a T wave that has two distinct peaks, typically seen in leads V2 to V6. This pattern may indicate underlying cardiac conditions, such as myocardial ischaemia or left ventricular hypertrophy, making it significant in diagnosing and managing heart diseases. Clinicians should be aware that bibasic T waves can also be associated with electrolyte imbalances, particularly hyperkalaemia, which requires prompt intervention.
