A distal radius fracture is a break in the radius bone near the wrist joint, commonly resulting from a fall onto an outstretched hand. It is clinically important due to its high incidence and potential to impair wrist function, requiring accurate assessment and management to restore mobility. A common complication is malunion, which can lead to chronic pain and reduced grip strength.
