Hepatic hemangiomas are benign vascular tumours of the liver, characterized by a mass of blood vessels. They are often asymptomatic and discovered incidentally during imaging for other conditions, but their presence can complicate surgical planning or lead to misdiagnosis of malignant lesions. A key association is their occurrence in women, particularly during pregnancy, where they may enlarge and cause abdominal pain or discomfort.
