Joint damage

Joint damage refers to the structural and functional deterioration of a joint, often resulting from conditions such as arthritis, trauma, or chronic inflammation. It is clinically significant as it can lead to pain, reduced mobility, and disability, impacting a patient's quality of life and ability to perform daily activities. A key association is osteoarthritis, where progressive joint damage can result in bone spurs and synovial inflammation, further exacerbating symptoms and functional impairment.
