Watson’s test is a clinical examination technique used to assess scaphoid instability by applying pressure to the scaphoid tubercle while moving the wrist from ulnar to radial deviation. It is important for diagnosing scapholunate ligament injuries, which can lead to wrist pain and long-term joint instability if untreated. A positive Watson’s test often indicates scapholunate dissociation, a common cause of chronic wrist dysfunction.
