Cholangiocarcinoma is a malignant tumour that arises from the bile duct epithelium, often presenting with obstructive jaundice, weight loss, and abdominal pain. Its clinical significance lies in its aggressive nature, poor prognosis, and the challenge of early diagnosis, as it is frequently detected at an advanced stage. A key association is with primary sclerosing cholangitis, which increases the risk of developing this cancer.
