Intracranial haemorrhage refers to bleeding within the skull, which can occur in various compartments, including the brain tissue (intracerebral), the space between the brain and the skull (subdural or epidural), or within the ventricles (intraventricular). It is clinically significant due to its potential to increase intracranial pressure, leading to neurological deficits or death. A key association is traumatic brain injury, which often precipitates such bleeding.
