A pituitary adenoma is a benign tumour originating from the pituitary gland, which can disrupt normal hormone production and lead to various endocrine disorders. Clinically, these adenomas can cause symptoms such as headaches, visual disturbances, and hormonal imbalances, impacting overall health and quality of life. A key association is with hyperprolactinaemia, which can result in galactorrhoea and menstrual irregularities in women.
