NSAIDs

NSAIDs (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) are a class of medications that reduce inflammation, pain, and fever by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes (COX-1 and COX-2), which decreases prostaglandin synthesis. They are widely used in clinical practice for conditions like arthritis and acute pain. A key concern is their potential to cause gastrointestinal bleeding and renal impairment.
