we 5:43 want 5:43 to exclude alternative diagnosis or look for deeper pathology or if symptoms 5:48 are not really 5:48 responding to basic treatment. 5:56 Intersection differentials include thumb, carpal, mericarpal osteoarthritis, 6:01 intersection syndrome. 6:04 Intersection syndrome is essentially an inflammatory problem that occurs at the 6:10 tendons at the 6:11 back of the forearm Management of Decovane's is typically step-wise and depends on symptoms 6:34 severity and duration. 6:36 First line treatment is activity modification to reduce aggravating movements, 6:41 use of thumb 6:42 speaker splint to limit thumb and wrist motion, a short-term analgesia such as 6:48 paracetamol 6:49 or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs if appropriate. 6:53 Corticosteroid injection
